Joe Archie – Vice President

Grammy Award-Winning Producer | Music Director | Arts Education Advocate

Joe Archie serves as the Vice President of DOA Academy of the Arts, where he helps lead the Academy’s mission to cultivate creativity, discipline, and opportunity for students in grades 3–12 through world-class training in music, digital arts, and entertainment. A Grammy Award-winning and Billboard-charting producer with over 30 years of industry experience, Joe brings a rare blend of artistic mastery and strategic leadership to his executive role.

Joe’s musical career is both dynamic and decorated. He earned Grammy, Billboard, Gold, and Platinum honors for his work on Smokie Norful’s Nothing Without You, co-producing the standout tracks “Life’s Not Promised” and “I Need You Now.” A multi-instrumentalist and natural leader, Joe began performing and touring at the age of 17 and has since collaborated with an array of renowned artists, including El DeBarge, Wayman Tisdale, Meshell N’Degeocello, Virtue, Twinkie Clark, and Chuckii Booker.

As Vice President, Joe’s focus extends far beyond the studio. He plays an integral role in the Academy’s strategic planning, curriculum development, and talent cultivation. His leadership helps guide the Academy’s operational excellence, student development frameworks, and integration of real-world industry knowledge into the classroom experience.

Joe has produced for film, television, and major global brands including Google, Ford, and BET, offering students insight into music’s role across multiple media platforms. He won Best Original Song at the Cannes World Film Festival for Through a Child’s Eyes and served as the principal composer for the film BabyGirl (ALLBLK network), exemplifying the level of professionalism he brings to the Academy’s creative programming.

A passionate advocate for youth empowerment, Joe serves on the Music and Digital Media Arts Commission for the California Department of Education, where he supports statewide arts education initiatives. He has helped develop and implement after-school programs that teach digital music production, composition, and performance—making him a natural mentor for students preparing for future careers in the arts.

At DOA Academy, Joe’s vision is clear: empower young artists with the tools, discipline, and mentorship they need to thrive both creatively and professionally. His commitment to excellence, innovation, and community impact make him a driving force behind the Academy’s mission.
